Fifth Annual Froggy Family Fun(d)raiser Birthday Party, and Margot Turns 83 Years Young

A Frog House Gardens have been especially prepared to give you and our local frogs an immersive sustainable experience.

The festivities take place at A Frog House headquarters right on the Erie Canal, beginning at 1pm and will continue on to 5pm. Stop in anytime.

1:30 pm  Native Plant Scavenger Hunt
Patty Love: Founder of Barefoot Ecological Design, Rochester Permaculture. Sustainable design as a necessity for any planning for frogs et. al.
2:30 pm Green ice cream and birthday cake
2:00 pm  LaMay and Reese, Americana Folk Music, Golden Link Folk Singing Society, Rochester, NY
3:00 pm Group I:  Regenerating the land-and our own culture.

What are your values, what do you care about, what are your skills and which do you want to use for your own or a community property?

Featured speakers:

  • Ari Freedman-Weiss, owner, 75 acres of property. Former site of Camp Sisol, where Ari grew up and eventually became the aquatics and recreation director.  History, vision, rationale, needs.
  • Robert Corby, Mayor of Pittsford Village for 28 years. Reflections on the land’s geologic, bioregional and indigenous significance. Need for conservation easement and architectural renovations.
  • Victoria Zelin-Cloud and Jonathan Cloud, Possible Rochester. Summary of founding document for the Bioregional Learning Center, including their fiscal role and vision which can encompass Ari’s and others’ visions.
  • You, the stakeholders in our planet’s future.  What would you love to participate in or contribute? What might you do with land of your own? Find out what guests of all ages are doing and can do to improve our planet.
3:00 pm Group II:  Frog Themed Educational Games and Activities!
Get involved in activities, auction, crafts, donations, games and continued hunting to occupy yourself if you would rather not listen to and interact with our featured speakers.  We do ask side conversations to move away from the group discussion.
4:00 pm Famous Surprise Star Musicians for Jamming Out!
music and dance (free form, ad hoc through the day)

Open to All

Registration and donations for our biggest fundraiser of the year are appreciated to support A Frog House on this, a birthday for all! The suggested donation is $20. Less if you wish, more if you can. Membership for the year starts at $83, with scholarships available. Nobody turned away for lack of funds.
